Begin session with an introduction to the course that includes discussion based around:
- 12 Psych Resources (Study Design, Textbook, Blog, Other Materials, etc)
- Unit 3 Outline - Neuropsychology (first draft - may change)
- Roles and Expectations (see appropriate sheet for more information)
- Jamie's role - to facilitate, guide and set the pace concerning the delivery of the study design.
- Students role - to complete the set work requirements in and out of class = if you do this, 98% of the time you will do well.
Show examples of student work from this year - mention the amount of time and effort this particular student put in and their results.
Move onto the Human Nervous System PowerPoint - more specifically the Central Nervous System.
Run through the PowerPoint and the related activities. Key concepts covered include:
- CNS
- The brain
- Corpus Callosum
- The Lobes of the Cortex
Students are to read through pages 177 -182 of the textbook and complete the following LA's in their workbook:
- 4.1 - Q's: 2,3,4,5&6
- 4.2 - Q's: 1,2&3
